“World Art Dubai 2023” was held in Dubai over 4 days in March. Approximately 7,000 works from 50 countries around the world were exhibited, and 15,000 people filled the venue, surpassing last year's record high. Our corporation fully supports the exhibitions of Japanese artists and groups. Among them, in the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's project “Tokyo Handicraft,” we promoted the work of traditional craftsmen with people from the Tokyo Small and Medium Business Development Corporation and businesses to people with a high sense of beauty living in Dubai.

From the end of March to the beginning of April, the spring session of the art fair “Art Shopping Paris” was held gorgeously at the exhibition hall in the Carrousel du Louvre complex directly connected to the Louvre Museum. It attracted attention from home and abroad as a place where diverse art works gather, and the Japanese booth, which was attended by 58 artists, was also a great success. The performances and live performances that graced the first day also enlivened the venue. A large number of media also visited for coverage, and interviews were conducted at various locations.

We will introduce 42 traditional crafts certified by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, centering on Edo Kiriko, wood grain dolls, hand planting brushes, and Tokyo umbrellas made one by one by craftsmen. The high quality and beauty of this “handiwork” was promoted through demonstrations and experiences, leading to the expansion of new sales channels to countries around the world.

“Autumn of art! The city of art! “Art Shopping Paris 2023 (fall session)” to be held in Paris

“Art Shopping Paris 2023” (fall session) was held in October in the capital of Paris, where you can feel the arrival of autumn. The Rugby World Cup was also held, and the number of artists who participated in the art fair held in France, where attention was growing as a global stage, was a record number of 107 artists. At the large booth in front of the entrance to the venue, gallerists and art fans from around the world purchased and examined works one after another.
