Michiko Bokka “Sumika”
Michiko Bokka is a Japanese contemporary artist and flower arrangement artist living in Malaga, Spain. “Bokka (bokka)” is a technique that combines ink and ikebana to express a free and novel style that is not bound by tradition. Demonstrations are actively carried out at exhibitions, and demonstrations using a fusion of modern ink and ikebana have been well received in various places. Since 2020, the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) pandemic has taken the world by storm. People were frightened by the fear of infection, and many people died. Apart from joy and the desire to create something beautiful, the works created for this exhibition were born out of sorrow. However, it is depicted with hope, like a ray of light for the future.
