To further develop the art relationship between Japan and France over 160 years

The exchange between Japan and France, which began 160 years ago, has had such a tremendous impact not only on trade, but also in terms of culture and art, that it is impossible to talk about each other without their presence. Since the time when Japanese culture, including Ukiyo-e, was called “Japonism,” and there was a huge boom, French people have continued to support Japanese art and Japanese aesthetics along with a sense of familiarity and admiration even now. In addition to this ethos, the fact that Parisians have a strong aesthetic eye for art and a culture where buying and owning art is not uncommon can also be said to be a major advantage of holding a solo exhibition in Paris. In fact, the works were sold at this solo exhibition, and several items were handed over to manpower. It is rare for works to be sold at solo exhibitions centered around exhibitions, and buyers were not limited to art collectors, and there were also cases where they casually stopped by the gallery and fell in love with the work at first sight.
Our corporation will focus on disseminating Japanese culture and promoting excellent Japanese artists so that the relationship between Japan and France, which has been nurtured over a long period of time, becomes even deeper and richer.
