The cherry blossom season is finally in full swing, and we were blessed with calm, clear skies for 2 days on 3/24 (Sat) and 25 (Sun). In Tokyo, the event “MOSHI MOSHI NIPPON FESTIVAL 2018 in SHIBUYA” (commonly known as the “Moshi Fes”) was held in the Shibuya-Harajuku area, a town of young people.
A total of 16,000 people attended the same event over 2 days at 4 venues: Laffore Museum Harajuku, Tower Records Shibuya, Shibuya Cast, and Onda Shrine.
A wide range of people, including young people who are sensitive to fashion, families, and foreign tourists, went back and forth to the venue decorated with different themes and enjoyed a wide variety of Japanese culture.
interesting! so cute! The appeal of traditional culture that captivated visitors

At the same event, Japan Promotion will be set at Onda Shrine in Harajuku”MOSHI MOSHI ENNICHI (Moshi Fes)”'s impressive traditional performing arts stage and a sales and experience booth for cute crafts that sublimate tradition into pop.

■Satsumasendai Odori Taiko

“Satsumasendai Odori Taiko” is composed mainly of elementary school students to university students living in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture. The vivid performance, which combines the powerful sound of taiko drums and a supple dance, greatly captivated visitors.

The entire venue was thrilled with the original performance based on recent hit songs.
Also, from an incandescent performance, the adorable Kagoshima dialect performed at the MC also captured people's hearts.

■Creative dance group Takarafune

Japan's first professional Awa dance group “Takarabune” also performed a spectacular stage. Centering on Awa Odori, which boasts a history of 400 years, their performances, in which they bet their whole body and soul to challenge the possibilities of new Japanese performing arts, conveys the beauty of “getting serious.”

At the end, the performers, visitors, and staff all formed a circle and tried Awa Odori. The venue was filled with smiles from beginning to end.

Also, both groups flew out of Onda Shrine for a while and performed in front of the Shibuya cast. Many of the people present at the sudden sound of taiko had surprised expressions on their faces, and many people were also seen holding smartphones in an inquisitive manner.

■Candy Zaiku Tsurufuji

At Onda Shrine, a demonstration sale of cute ame-zaiku by “Amezaiku Tsurufuji” was carried out as a fair food unique to Harajuku. The craftsmanship of the candy craftsman Takako, who responds to any request, fascinated children and adults, and various orders flew in every day.

There will also be a workshop at the booth where you can actually experience candy crafting.
Under the careful guidance of Takako, who says, “Even things that seem difficult at first glance are surprisingly easy to make if you understand the basic patterns,” visitors fell in love with making the only candy in the world.

Even with simple motifs, one of the real pleasures of ame-zaiku is that the shape and expression are unique depending on the creator

■Kizui -kimusubi-

What surprised not only foreigners but also Japanese people with its pop colors and motifs was the mizubiki art of “Kiyui -kimusubi-”.
“The celebrations are in a flash!” Many people, including women who are sensitive to fashion, visited the booth, where many mizubiki items full of happy feelings were lined up under the theme.

Also, an experiential workshop was held here, and visitors learned how to carefully tie each one and put their thoughts into it while tying, and created adorable pouch bags with their own color scheme and shape.

On the head of the woman who has been a fan of Kizui since 1 year ago and went out of her way to visit the venue on this day, there is a mizubiki hair ornament that she had bought before. It seems that they currently live in India, and mizubiki accessories are perfect for sarees, the national costume that has been handed down in India since ancient times.

The world is obsessed with Japanese culture that evolves day by day
In addition, various contents such as talk shows on themes such as fashion, cosmetics, and photogenics, etc. were held at each venue, stage performances by popular idols, kimono wearing experiences, footbaths, etc., and the city was steeped in Japanese culture.
