Susaki city in Kochi prefecture is scheduled to hold a French tour to Japan in 2018

The opening of the 2017 fiscal year is approaching on 7/6 (Thursday)Japan Expo Paris “WABI SABI Pavilion”Susaki City in Kochi Prefecture, which has decided to exhibit at, has started activities to attract foreign tourists with a view to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Now, French people are invited to participate in the 2018 Susaki Special Tour, 3 people have been carefully selected from among the applicants and appointed as ambassadors, and the city has invited them free of charge.
The ambassadors participating in the tour are expected to promote Susaki City and Japanese traditions and regional culture as seen from overseas, and to play an active role in developing further appeal.

Japan Promotion provides planning and operation support for the “Susaki Ambassador Project” aimed at promoting this inbound traffic.

A sea kayak where you can experience the various expressions of the ocean with your whole body, such as Uranouchi Bay and the Pacific Ocean, a marine spot in Susaki City.

Of course, the mascot for this project is the local character “Shinjo-kun” from Susaki City.
An extinct Japanese otter boy was last seen at Shinjogawa (Shinjogawa) in Susaki City.
We will promote the wonderful appeal of Susaki City to the whole world, such as sports activities that can be enjoyed in rich nature, historical romance exploration such as traditional culture and festivals, and gourmet food that can only be enjoyed in Susaki.

Susaki's specialty, Nabeyaki ramen, is designed on Shinjo-kun's hat. Reputed for being “the hottest and tastiest in Japan,” this is a gem you should definitely try at least once.

Japan's regional culture with many possibilities

From the observation deck at Bandagamori, you can overlook the majestic scenery of Susaki Bay and Yokonami Sanri.

Facing the Pacific Ocean and blessed with rich nature, Susaki City is a treasure trove of experiential tourist attractions.

The Susaki Festival is held every year in August. Above all, the only spectacular two-foot fireworks in Shikoku instantly dye the night sky in seven colors.
The Kamo Shrine Autumn Festival is held every year on October 20. This is a rare festival in the whole country where boys with tail feathers such as Japanese woodpeckers and pheasants on their heads dedicate a sword dance.

Susaki is the only city in Japan where tabby bamboo (only tiger bamboo) lives. In addition to traditional bamboo crafts made by master craftsmen, here, you can also enjoy factory tours and a walk through the bamboo grove.
The nostalgic Showa retro building is the Marukyo Miso Soy Sauce Brewery, known locally as “Marukyo-san.” Brewery tours and tastings are also accepted at any time.
