“Shichibo” is a rare traditional craft technique developed uniquely in Japan. Tyre saving means “omitting the tire (foundation),” and it refers to the process of drawing a pattern with enamel glaze and silver wire, then dissolving the copper plate, which is the foundation, with chemicals.

Fumon Takahara “Today Right Now”

A book containing the creative trajectory of Takahara Fumon, who has been pursuing unique expression for 48 years both domestically and internationally. Based on the traditional beauty of wabi-saku, this attitude of constantly challenging new forms is alive throughout the work, based on the themes of “separation of defense” and “innovation from the past.” This book was compiled in conjunction with a solo exhibition to be held in Paris Saint-Germain-des-Prés, and was published as part of an official program sponsored by the Embassy of Japan in France and the Japan Tourism Agency.

Song Book Shoji Harumi “Sakura News”

A collection of songs by Harumi Shoji. This book was triggered when the author began to be aware of his own age, so he decided to put it together himself as the final songbook. One day, when I asked my daughter to publish a collection of poems after my death, she was turned down saying “I don't have that kind of power,” and I felt the need to organize it myself. So, I looked back at the works after the previous songbook “Blue Water Lilies,” but I wasn't satisfied with the content, so I decided to face my own old age. While feeling lost in the work, which strongly expressed feelings due to the death of her husband and getting older, the feeling that “I'm glad I continued tanka” deepened, and there is a history that led to the compilation of these songs as a single milestone.
