“Shichibo” is a rare traditional craft technique developed uniquely in Japan. Tyre saving means “omitting the tire (foundation),” and it refers to the process of drawing a pattern with enamel glaze and silver wire, then dissolving the copper plate, which is the foundation, with chemicals. Since it is a delicate construction composed only of thin glazed glass and silver wire, it requires particularly careful treatment compared to other cloisonne techniques, and its precise, delicate, and extremely transparent feeling is its greatest appeal.
Through 360-degree images and explanations, the artist's characteristic “scaly pattern,” the sparkle of silver wire wrapped in enamel, and even unique designs are conveyed from multiple angles.
