“Denchu-kun” is modeled after Hirakushi Tanaka's sculpture in Ibara City, Okayama Prefecture

At the press conference on 2/21 (Thursday), Ibara City's local character “Denchu-kun” proudly spoke with Mayor Takimoto Toyofumi about their enthusiasm for exhibiting at the Japan Expo, such as promoting denim products and promoting inbound traffic.

The model for Denchu-kun, who has an impressive Kabuki actor, is “Kagami Lion” by Hiragushi Denchu (Hiragushi Denchu), a sculptor from Ibara City.
