Oyabe city in Toyama prefecture is the first local character event in Harajuku

Opening on 2017/7/6 (Thu)Japan Expo “WABI SABI”To participate in the exhibition, Oyabe City held a PR event with local characters “Mergu-kun and Melmomo-chan” for the first time in Harajuku on 6/20 (Tuesday).
Japan Promotion provided notification activities and management support for the event.

It was an event where the local characters “Mergiu-kun and Melmomo-chan” from Oyabe City first landed in Harajuku, and there were also local fans who rushed in from Toyama prefecture first thing in the morning.
When I went out to Takeshita Street, which is crowded with young people and foreign tourists, its loveliness, such as being asked to take commemorative photos and shake hands one after another, attracted people, and contributed greatly to the appeal of Oyabe City's appeal.

At the Moshi Moshi Box at the venue, in addition to character goods and Oyabe city tourist information, etc., a panel showing their activities at the Japan Expo last year will be displayed, and Mergu-kun and others greet their enthusiasm for exhibiting for the second year in a row. As part of the “Kiso Yoshinaka Tomoe Project,” where the city is trying to attract taiga dramas, warriors in armor dressed as Yoshinaka also attracted the interest of a wide range of people.

Continuing from 2016, it seems that many fans are looking forward to meeting Mergiu-kun and Melmomo-chan this year as well.
