Workshop content
An ame-zaiku workshop was held on 10/29 (Sat). The person who welcomed me as an instructor was Takako, an candy maker. Many people rushed to the moshi box to catch a glimpse of Takako's craftsmanship, which would take shape with any order.
There were voices of admiration from the venue for Takako's brilliant handwork, which responds to visitors' requests and creates various animals one after another.

Under Takako's careful guidance, workshop participants took on the challenge of candy crafts that even beginners can easily do, such as rabbits and bears.
Amezaiku is said to be a race against time because it hardens so quickly that it becomes impossible to create the desired shape. While the first 2 to 3 minutes were a game, the participants looked seriously and molded candy into animals of their choice.
There were many participants as couples and friends, and they were seen smiling and calling out to each other while looking sideways at each other. Foreign tourists who visited Harajuku for sightseeing also participated in the workshop, and their eyes shone through their first experience of Japanese culture.
The cuteness of the candy that Takako makes is very popular among children. The slightly worried gaze of the children, who took on the challenge of molding and painting with a serious expression similar to that of adults, and the mothers watching over it enveloped the moshi box with a unique sense of tension.
Once the adorable candy that felt the individuality of each child was made, the moshi box was once again filled with smiles of relief and joy.
