The “Festival Hayashi Workshop” was held on 10/22 (Sat). We invited the lecturers from Yoshiwara Kitsune Shachu (Yoshiwara Kitsune Shachu), who continues to work to convey dance and kagura handed down from the Edo period to the present day. Not to mention the domestic stage kagura dance festival,Japan ExpoThey are active in a wide range of activities, including participating in large-scale events overseas.
Workshop participants were asked to challenge traditional Japanese sounds and rhythms using instruments unique to the festival, such as taiko drums and chanchiki.
Shortly after the start of the workshop, the gorgeous appearance of Yoshiwara Kitsunosha performing with a fox mask dominated the gaze of people coming and going to Harajuku. “That's cool!” While cheers were raised, the area around the Moshi Moshi Box was very busy from beginning to end by people pointing at their cameras.
Participants who came into contact with actual instruments and learned the basics of Japanese rhythms said, “It's amazing to be taught by Kitsune!” “It was so much fun!” and everyone seemed happy.
There were also many families, and an English woman who participated in the workshop with her children said, “It was my best memory during my time in Japan!” It showed how moved it was.
