The venue is the tourist information center “Moshi Moshi Box” in Harajuku, Tokyo. In addition to introducing recommended tourist spots, we also provide useful information about staying in Japan, from how to eat sushi well to Harajuku's latest entertainment. For foreign tourists, it is a spot that can be said to be an information center for Japanese culture as a whole.

Workshop content

A “mock class with an active teacher” was held on 6/18 (Sat).
The lecturer Haruki Rio is active internationally as a calligraphy artist while working at a private school in Tokyo. We conducted lessons on correct stroke order and kanji games, etc., focusing on calligraphy and Japanese, which are actually taught at school. As expected, there were only active teachers, so it was a lesson content that even adults were unexpectedly enthusiastic about.
Applicants were asked to choose from school uniforms, blazers, and sailor uniforms to wear, and enjoy the feeling of going to a Japanese school.
Overseas, Japanese uniform fashion is very popular as representative of Kawaii items.
“What surprised me in Tokyo was that the high school girl's uniform was different every time I got off at the station. It's hard to find such a variety of uniforms in other countries. I wanted to try it on. It was an unforgettable experience!” The person speaking to me is a girl from Cuba who is on a family trip.
I was able to see their eyes shining at this unusual cross-cultural experience.
