The most glamorous art fair in Paris, France
Art fair at the salon “Carrousel du Louvre” directly connected to the Louvre Museum from 2016/5/27 (Friday) to 29 (Sun)”Salon Art Shopping” was held. Carrousel du Louvre is a salon space where Paris Collection, which is at the cutting edge of the fashion world, and numerous fashion shows are held brilliantly every day.
At the reception on the first day, the venue will be opened only for people involved in the arts, and a grand party will be held. VIP visitors dressed up gorgeously like Paris decorated the venue.
In addition to gallery artists from France, it was bustling with exhibitions from countries around the world, such as Italy, Russia, Austria, and South Korea. It was more successful than the previous year, and the area around the entrance was overflowing with people waiting impatiently to enter.

Art fairs can also be used in a variety of ways
In addition to supporting the exhibition of works by 15 people, Japan Promotion also promoted the upcoming Japanese art exhibition in Paris. We were able to bridge the gap between various personal connections and artists in Paris.
Attention was also drawn to the elaborate handicrafts unique to Japan, and sales of works using wood inlay techniques were strong this time around.
Also, there are many enthusiastic job offers and connections to exhibiting artists, and the real thrill of art fairs is that business opportunities are born from empathy and excitement about the work. It can also be said that it is a place where exhibitors and visitors receive mutual stimulation and create new possibilities.

Visitor pick-up
Gemmanick is an artist from New Caledonia.
Aiming to be a painter, he went to Japan, was praised by Seiji Togo as an “artist with a unique sensibility,” and spent 2 years in Japan as Togo's beloved disciple.
The work was purchased by Yasunari Kawabata, and won the 1973 Nika Exhibition Grand Prize, and had an audience with Her Majesty the Emperor and Empress. Her paintings are used on stamps from her home country.
There is no shortage of gratitude for what was discovered in Togo, and they say that they have a great sense of affinity for Japan. They also have a very cheerful side, such as performing Japanese pop songs while dancing.
They stopped by the Japan Promotion booth many times during the exhibition, and received enthusiastic messages to the participating artists. It was an encounter brought about by the deep relationship between French and Japanese artists.
