Held at popular spots for foreign tourists
On 5/14 (Sat), we will be holding a workshop where you can experience real Kabuki makeup. MOSHI MOSHI NIPPON PROJECT is a collaboration project with expand Asobi System Co., Ltd.
The venue is the tourist information center “Moshi Moshi Box” in Harajuku, Tokyo. In addition to introducing recommended tourist spots, we also provide useful information about staying in Japan, from how to eat sushi well to Harajuku's latest entertainment. For foreign tourists, it is an information spot about Japanese culture as a whole.
The lecturer is Kabuki actor Wakatsuki Sennosuke. He was born as the eldest son of the Japanese dance “Wakatsuki Ryu Iemoto,” and he also served as Iemoto Daihan. In this workshop, we will be applying Kumadori makeup using pigments and tools used on the actual stage. It comes with the bonus of being able to take a commemorative photo at Togo-jinja Shrine as it is. It is an event that proposes pop ways to enjoy traditional culture.
