From 7/6 (Thu) to 9 (Sun), the “18th Japan Expo Paris” was held at the Nord Villepinte exhibition hall located in northern Paris, France.

WABI SABI is now in its 7th year, and the theme is “road”

This year marks the 7th year of Japan PromotionTradition and Regional Culture Pavilion “WABI SABI”We produced, exhibited and sold arts and crafts that made use of traditional techniques, introduced the efforts of local governments, and operated a gorgeous stage where you can experience the raw appeal of Japanese culture.
The theme for WABI SABI in 2017 is “road.” It focused on the spirituality unique to Japanese people of “mastering one's own path,” such as calligraphy, tea ceremony, flower arrangement, and kendo, and strongly appealed to the many Japanese fans who visited the venue for their skillful techniques of expression and passionate soul that each artist had faced and pursued.


On the exterior wall of the pavilion, Japanese umbrellas and decorations boldly decorated with lattice motifs based on red and black, which make you feel the bewitching beauty unique to Japan, showed a strong presence and attracted the attention of people who came and went.
