Art from around the world is coming to Taiwan, next to my hometown
Japanese artists active in Japan, America, Europe, the Middle East — will gather in Taipei this November. Artists who are attracting attention in the domestic and international art scene are finally showing their unique sensibility in neighboring Taiwan.
The venue is “Breeze Center (Breeze Center),” which boasts an overwhelming presence in terms of topicality, innovation, and customer base in Taipei. “Breeze MEGA Studio” is located on the 8th floor of a large complex where you can enjoy not only shopping, but also food and movies.

Japanese art where tradition and present interweave
This group exhibition will be held over a total of 10 days for 2 sessions. In the first session, we will carefully introduce the works of 5 artists in an atmosphere similar to a solo exhibition.
Oil painter Koji Kanazawa introduces precise oil paintings with the atmosphere and surrealist structure of Japanese painting. You can also enjoy works by resin artist Hamamura Yuji that have a sense of transparency and depth that seem to have cut out the waterside itself. From calligraphy, an art unique to us that uses common characters, powerful works created by Mr. Soyamax that combine tradition and modernity have appeared. Artist Tomohiko Kida, who has worked in the construction industry for many years, will present his work by dyeing mortar, which is a construction material, in Japan Blue (indigo). MikaOtto x BuddyArt.Project, which develops “buddy art” activities as a social support project. Don't miss the colorful and pop paintings by® ︎.

Second session where you can enjoy various expressions
In the 2nd term, the atmosphere will change drastically, and a group exhibition of Hundred Flowers by about 30 artists will be held.
There are works filled with Japanese-like elements, such as Okawa Haruyuki, who carbonizes flowers used in ikebana and revives them as monochrome works along with cocoons, and Mr. KAZZ Morishita, who is known for his mystical landscape photographs that are unrelated to dreams and reality created by cherry blossoms and autumn leaves, and a wide range of universal and contemporary works are introduced, from poetic oil paintings with a high narrative drawn by Mr. Sayuri to mysterious glass creatures with strange expressions. You can experience a wide variety of Japanese contemporary art.

There is also a pop-up store on the 5th floor of the same building
Goods created by exhibiting artists will be specially sold at Kinokuniya Bookstore on the 5th floor of Breeze Square during the exhibition so that people can feel closer to art. Each one is a special item designed by the artist. If you want to soak in the worldview of your favorite artist, don't miss this one either!

Japan and Taiwan have built a friendly relationship for many years. At this special exhibition, a portion of the proceeds will be donated as a donation for the Hualien earthquake.
Using diverse Japanese art as a bridge, I hope Taiwanese people will discover a new side of Japan. We will land on Formosa Island (Formosa) in November.
