Hiwasa Kazumasa solo exhibition “From Denial of the Concept of Space: 100:0 Super Symmetry”

Scenes from the venue on the first day of the exhibition

On the 2nd floor, we will introduce a number of masterpieces by the painter Hiwasa Kazumasa, who found the concept of ZERO in common, from the idealism of ancient Socrates to the expressions of genius painter Ito Jakuchu (1716-1800) and Ukiyo-e artist Sharaku (late 1700s), and continued to create the most minimal realm of beauty.
In particular, the “100:0 Super Symmetry” series, where the screen is split in two by a straight line, has different places and areas painted in colors such as red, blue, yellow, and green from work to work, making you feel the expanse of a different dimensional space even though it is a simple two-dimensional painting. Mr. Hiwasa's insatiable sense of artistic inquiry strongly shook the hearts of visitors and took them beyond the endless expansion of imagination.

Mr. Hiwasa's unique philosophy conveyed through his work overwhelmed visitors
There are also visitors confronting each work one by one and thinking about each one
Many valuable works from the past are also on display
