“Gato” is a famous restaurant in Aoyama, Tokyo where you can enjoy authentic kaiseki cuisine in a space where tradition and modernity are in harmony.
It is also known that they served meals at the “Emperor (current emperor) enthronement feast”, and valuable menus from that time are also displayed inside the store.

Exhibit content

The December and January Gatos features 10 fantastic works of art by copperplate engraver artists active in Japan and abroad.
Set in a “food” space that connects lives, the artist likens each work to “miakashi = lamp dedicated to God” and expresses prayer through creation.

While enjoying authentic kaiseki cuisine, please experience the peaceful and hopeful world of art.
