It is estimated that 24% of total art sales in the world are in China. Above all, Hong Kong attracts high-quality art from around the world due to its advantages as an international city. The Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong (Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong) introduced here is an art fair founded in 2013 and is currently gaining momentum. In 2016, there were 21,000 visitors, and sales of approximately 480 million yen were recorded in Japanese yen.

This economic strength is estimated to be approximately 210,000 wealthy households with financial assets of 1 million dollars or more. Furthermore, the number of foreign visitors is 26 million per year, making it the highest in the world for 7 consecutive years. As an international city, it is known not only for financial and IT-related industries, but the government is also focusing on nurturing artists with the aim of becoming an Asian art hub city, and many art fairs and trade fairs have been held.

The Affordable Art Fair was founded by Will Ramsay in London, England in 1999 based on the concept that many people feel closer to art and find happiness in their lives through works. Affordable (affordable) means “within reach” and “easy to buy.” It's an art fair that opens up possibilities not only for some wealthy people, but also for a wide range of people around the world.
It started in London when it was inaugurated, and now it is being held in various places such as New York, Milan, Hamburg, Brussels, Seoul, and Singapore. When added up, works have been sold for over 40 billion yen in Japanese yen, and over 412,000 works in terms of the number of works.

Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre is the venue

The venue where the Hong Kong Return Ceremony was held in 1997. With a total construction cost of 620 million dollars, this venue has 5 exhibition halls, 2 conference halls, 2 world-class theaters, 52 conference halls, etc., and is the second largest complex conference and exhibition facility in Asia. Like Hong Kong as an international trade port, various events such as exhibitions and trade fairs are held throughout the year.
