“Gato” is a famous restaurant in Aoyama, Tokyo where you can enjoy authentic kaiseki cuisine in a space where tradition and modernity are in harmony.
It is also known that they served meals at the “Emperor Imajo Enthronement Feast,” and valuable menus from that time are also displayed inside the store.

Exhibit content

The sky was deep and clear, and it was a refreshing season. In October's Gato, we are introducing 10 works by lettering artists who captivate people with their strong expressive power. “Lettering” is a field of calligraphy where calligraphy is engraved on a board. Calligraphy created by making full use of chisels based on reishi and seal, and richly expressed by layering gold leaf, colored gold, blue, etc., strongly appeals to the viewer's heart and invites them into an elegant world.
