Mishima calligrapher takes on a new challenge at the Louvre for Overcoming Depression

“A calligrapher from Mishima City, who has suffered from depression for a long time, will be exhibiting at a contemporary art exhibition held at the Louvre Museum in France. Hosoya Nanmei (72) has won awards at Chinese and Turkish art exhibitions. Hosoya's masterpiece, whose way of dealing with the work has changed since overcoming his illness 5 years ago, is on the “Hall of Fame of Beauty.”
The exhibition will be held from May 27th to 29th. I received an invitation from Japan Promotion, a general incorporated association that handles a business that bridges Japanese art and traditional performing arts to the world.” ...

Hosoya Nanmei (Hosoya Nanmei)
Born in 1943, from Shizuoka Prefecture.
Influenced by her mother, who was a calligrapher, she started calligraphy. Created based on the concept of a message given off by nature as a means of expressing oneself. He creates a unique style of writing, such as expressing haiku paintings in writing.
Exhibited at an open call exhibition at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum in 1986, and won 6 consecutive awards. Exhibited at international exhibitions in countries such as China, France, and Indonesia, and received many awards. In 2003, he held a solo exhibition at Nihonbashi Gallery in Tokyo.
