“Gato” is a famous restaurant in Aoyama, Tokyo where you can enjoy authentic kaiseki cuisine in a space where tradition and modernity are in harmony.
It is also known that they served meals at the “Emperor (current emperor) enthronement feast”, and valuable menus from that time are also displayed inside the store.

Exhibit content

The May Gato introduces 10 Japanese paintings by painter Eisui, who gently blends the teachings of Buddhism into the hearts of modern people.
A book exhibition based on the Zen phrase “live your life as a lamp,” “your own light.” It's like a message addressed to those of us living in the present age where information continues to be complicated.
Please enjoy a peaceful moment along with works that put truth into their warm expressions.
