“Gato” is a famous restaurant in Aoyama, Tokyo where you can enjoy authentic kaiseki cuisine in a space where tradition and modernity are in harmony.
It is also known that they served meals at the “Emperor (current emperor) enthronement feast”, and valuable menus from that time are also displayed inside the store.

Exhibit content

In the June Gato Festival, we are introducing 10 works by artists who uniquely interpret and express Shakyamuni's words learned from classical sutras.
Please enjoy the beautiful world of paintings that touch the true meaning of happiness, created with the thought, “I hope we can convey the know-how to live peacefully while caring for each other through our works, precisely because everyone in the world has anxiety amidst great suffering.”
