“Gato” is a famous restaurant in Aoyama, Tokyo where you can enjoy authentic kaiseki cuisine in a space where tradition and modernity are in harmony.
It is also known that they served meals at the “Emperor (current emperor) enthronement feast”, and valuable menus from that time are also displayed inside the store.

In August's Gato, we are introducing 9 works by ink painters who have pursued new expressions of beauty through ink throughout their lives.
The ink painting, which has been described as “the beauty of innocence, clarity, and purity,” leads viewers to a bright and clear world without a single speck of impurity due to the flow of ink and the use of clear colors with gentle brushstrokes.

Enjoy a world of subtle beauty that combines subtlety and strength while enjoying authentic kaiseki cuisine.
