“Gato” is a famous restaurant in Aoyama, Tokyo where you can enjoy authentic kaiseki cuisine in a space where tradition and modernity are in harmony.
It is also known that they served meals at the “Emperor Imajo Enthronement Feast,” and valuable menus from that time are also displayed inside the store.

Exhibit content

The April Gato introduces 10 works by Japanese painters that convey their own admiration and emotion for the beauty of nature and the sublime way of life to people through works full of delicate brilliance.
While carefully inheriting the techniques, texture, and color scheme of traditional Japanese painting, the many works created by constantly repeating considerations and experiments make the viewer feel the beauty of a fragrance emanating from within while changing their expression depending on the viewing angle.

While enjoying authentic kaiseki cuisine, please enjoy “modern Yamato paintings” with a clean and bright spirit.
