“Gato” is a famous restaurant in Aoyama, Tokyo where you can enjoy authentic kaiseki cuisine in a space where tradition and modernity are in harmony.
It is also known that they served meals at the “Emperor Imajo Enthronement Feast,” and valuable menus from that time are also displayed inside the store.

Exhibit content

In March's Gato, we are introducing 10 works by calligraphers who express a world full of deep, soft love with creative books that combine elegant calligraphy with adorable pictures of cats.
Starting with an original series that combines the text of Natsume Soseki's masterpiece “I am a Cat” with figures of cats, a number of works that highlight unique perspectives stimulate the viewer's imagination and bring deep healing to the space.

Enjoy the peaceful world of calligraphy and cats while tasting authentic kaiseki cuisine.
